This phase builds a set of validated recipients for the message, starting with those on the To header in the message:
•The address is parsed into address (mailbox@domain) and "alias".
•if sender option 16 (match envelope recipients) is set, the address is discarded unless it also appears as an envelope recipient.
•if an address domain and mailbox matches a recipient domain folder and template, it is accepted as a 'special recipient' and this address is not processed further as a potential fax recipient
•if sender option 15 (include recipients only from fax domains list) is set, and the recipient domain is not in the fax domains list, the address is discarded.
•if the e-mail is a decrypted e-mail, extract a fax number from the subject header, leaving the remainder as the subject.
•if a fax number can be parsed from the address (allowing for supported prefix syntax) it is saved as the fax number to be used.
•if sender option 4 (disable fax) is set, the address is discarded
•if there is no fax number, the address is discarded.
Unless sender option 13 (exclude CC) is set, the same processing is then performed for addresses on the CC header, with the exception that they are not matched to determine if they are a special recipient, and no fax number is extracted from the subject line.
Unless sender option 14 (exclude BCC) is set, the same processing is then performed for addresses on the BCC header, with the exception that they are not matched to determine if they are a special recipient, and no fax number is extracted from the subject line.
If no recipients or special recipients have been identified, error (1) is recorded.
if the sender template was recorded as missing and there are no sender template contents available from a custom DLL, and there are no special recipients, error (10) is recorded.
The recording of any errors in this phase prevents further processing of the message.
