This section describes features which are no longer supported in CopiaFacts version 9. If your FAXFACTS.CFG configuration file changes as a result, and needs to be used temporarily in version 8 as well as version 9, you can use a command sequence to condition the changed commands such as:

Discontinued Hardware Support in version 9
CopiaFacts version 9 no longer includes support for the following boards which were supported in version 8:3.
•Dialogic VFX and JCT voice and fax boards.
•Serial Port modems and multi-modem boards
Although this hardware is still supported in version 8.3, the availability of hardware, and the lack of drivers for current operating systems, might limit our ability to support and maintain full operations.
Support for configuring earlier supported board types (Brooktrout TR114/Trufax; Dialogic VFX/JCT boards and SC-Bus; Gammalink; Commentrex-Sangoma) was already dropped in recent version 8 builds, but some parts of the interfaces remained; these have now been removed.
Since COPIAFACTS v9 no longer supports fax boards which will convert text files for faxing, the $make_image IIF command to build ASCII files and expand variables is no longer available. See Faxing ASCII files for an alternative.
Discontinued Operating System Support in version 9
CopiaFacts version 9 is no longer tested with Operating Systems earlier than Windows 10 or Server 2012. This was also the case with recent versions of version 8.3. Several CopiaFacts applications should continue to work with these earlier OS versions.
We no longer recommend using the 'Internet Explorer' option for conversion of HTML documents to TIF, but it remains available for use when supported by the operating system.
CopiaFacts no longer attempts to configure Internet Explorer settings to support viewing certain features of our documentation in an older browser.
Printer Drivers for unsupported operating systems are no longer installed, but neither are they removed by the version 9 installers.
We no longer support the special Imagemaker printer drivers formerly used to run CopiaFacts client software (FFCLIENT) in a Terminal Services environment.
The interface to the Goldmine CRM has been dropped from version 9.
