CopiaFacts directly supports the faxing and e-mailing documents from multi-function devices such as printers and scanners from HP and Xerox.
The Document Converter, FFEXTERN, can be configured to scan one or more folders into which documents are saved by the device. Details of the destination for the document are extracted from the accompanying control files, and an FS file (fax send) is created to initiate the transmission of the fax or e-mail.
Where origin and account information is present in the control files it can optionally be extracted into FS variables for reporting and accounting purposes. The success or failure of the transmission will then be notified to the originator.
After a document has been processed, the files deposited from the MFP or MFD can be archived if required.
