Check/Modify TEMP Folder Locations 
CFCHKTEMP
This program will check your configuration of the local folders which CopiaFacts will use for temporary files. This is the folder normally specified by the $local_temp configuration command, which may not be present if you have upgraded from an earlier version. In this case the default folder C:\FAXTEMP is normally used; for new installations, this folder is configured in SERCONF.
CFCHECKTEMP is invoked automatically from either COPIAFACTS or FFEXTERN if an anomaly is detected in the configuration. It can also be run manually from the Copia folder under the Program Files folder.
 | Note that CFCHECKTEMP needs to be run elevated (as administrator). Windows normally requires this to create root folders such as C:\FAXTEMP on a drive, and to set permissions on such folders. When started by a non-elevated instance of COPIAFACTS or FFEXTERN, the program will request elevation before proceeding. |
The example above shows the situation where a C:\FAXTEMP folder has been created, but no $local_temp commands appear in FAXFACTS.CFG. The program checks and reports the following issues:
•Is a $local_temp command present in FAXFACTS.CFG, either for the specific node or for all nodes?
•If not, is there a GFAX environment variable (now deprecated)?
•If not, the C:\FAXTEMP folder will have been substituted
•If the folder specified or defaulted cannot be written to, the Windows temp folder will have been substituted
•Is the folder path name a local path?
•Is the folder present?
•A display of all the $local_temp commands in FAXFACTS.CFG is shown.
The program allows you to take various corrective actions:
•Select a different local folder using the button at the right of the field, and create the folder if necessary
•Set or re-set the folder permissions so that 'everyone' has full access to the folder.
•Update FAXFACTS.CFG to add or replace a node-specific $local_temp command.
•Update FAXFACTS.CFG to replace all the $local_temp commands with a single command specifying the same local path for temporary files on all nodes. Note that if you select this option the local folders will not be created on remote machines; you can run CFCHECKTEMP on the other machines to do this.
After pressing the button to perform the selected actions, FAXFACTS.CFG will be re-loaded and re-analyzed. When the program has been invoked automatically from COPIAFACTS or FFEXTERN at start-up, these programs will also reload the modified FAXFACTS.CFG file.
