Specify Hardware Channel to Exclude
$exclude_channel nodename devname
This command is used to prevent CopiaFacts from opening a voice, fax, or telephony channel which is required for another application. You may also need to configure the other application to ignore channels which are in use by CopiaFacts.
The parameters on this command are used as follows:
| nodename | The CopiaFacts identifier for the node in which the hardware is installed. |
| devname | The device name using the format shown below. Upper and lower-case are not significant. |
Brooktrout fax channels are named in the format "fax0" where the number (base 0) indicates the channel listed in \WINNT\BFAX\FAXINIT.LOG.
Commetrex OTF fax channels are named in the format "OTF01" where the number is the channel number.
Dialogic Diva channels are named in the format "EiconB1C01" where the first number is the line device and the second is the channel number (with a leading zero).
In the CopiaFacts configurator (CFHWL), channels in a node are sequentially numbered from 1 for each board type. Numbers corresponding to channels excluded by this command must not be specified as fax-channel or voice-channel numbers when you configure channels in CFHWL. Changes in this command will often require matching changes using CFHWL.
Default: CopiaFacts opens all detected hardware channels.
Examples:
$exclude_channel M2 fax0 ; omit first Brooktrout channel
$exclude_channel M2 fax1 ; omit second Brooktrout channel
$exclude_channel M1 EiconB1C01 ; omit first Diva channel
$exclude_channel M1 EiconB1C02 ; omit second Diva channel
