Dropped Features

The following features have been dropped:

Credit-card ProcessingThe commands and variables formerly used for handling chargeable fax-on-demand documents are no longer processed. The only exceptions are the variables CRDESC and CRNDESC, which are retained for applications other than credit-card processing.
Job AdministrationThe long-deprecated use if $dns_file on an $fs_template command has been dropped.  This caused items to be dropped without an FS file being created.  The feature remains available in FFBC.
Job AdministrationThe use of BCF variables defined in the UJP file to condition the inclusion of job items is no longer supported.  The feature remains available in FFBC.
OMACK.BATThe EMTO calls are commented out on a new install (but an existing OMACK.BAT file is not changed).  The use of EMDIRECT triggers is recommended instead.
Brooktrout TR114 and NetAccess boards. We no longer have hardware available for testing.  Support remains available in older CopiaFacts versions.
Commetrex PowerFax boards We no longer have hardware available for testing.  Support remains available in older CopiaFacts versions.
Gammalink Fax boards We no longer have hardware available for testing.  Support remains available in older CopiaFacts versions.
SMR filesThe special syntax using '=' to specify multiple codes with the same description has been dropped.  This was only needed for Gammalink codes, which have now been removed from the file.  We suggest similarly trimming any custom SMR files that have large numbers of unnecessary codes.
CFCONNECTYou can no longer set this variable to 'Disable' to continue using the same type of system configuration that was used in versions of CopiaFacts until 2005.  For alternatives, see Upgrading from Version 7 Configurations.

Dropped Commands

The following commands continue to be accepted in command files, but are no longer processed:

$credit_card, $credit_cost, $credit_desc, $credit_expdate, $credit_status    Commands used for chargeable fax-on-demand documents
