For most database operations, the default timeouts will suffice. Occasionally, you may run into a database connection or other operation that persistently times out. This may happen with a lengthy query, which should be avoided in most IVR applications anyway. However, you may adjust the timeouts when necessary to give the database operation enough time to complete. The following database variables may be set to the number of seconds to use for the timeout. To reset to the default timeouts again just set the variable value to zero or the @EMPTY value to remove the variable.
|DB_CMD_TIMEOUT||queries or stored procedures that do not return record sets|
|DB_FETCH_TIMEOUT||queries or stored procedures that return record sets|
Prior to each database operation, the timeout values are read from the appropriate CopiaFacts variables. So you may change timeouts for each operation you wish without opening or closing the database.
