System default job properties are held in the file FAXFACTS\USERJOBS\SYSTEM.UJP. This file is maintained by the system administrator's version of the JOBADMIN program.

The System Job Properties are of two types: first, properties that control the structure and operation of the job administration subsystem, and second, defaults for owner and job type properties.

In the first category come the following properties:

The use of job type references may be required, disallowed, or made optional, or it may be specified that the use of job types for each owner is to be chosen in the owner job properties. See $jobtype_specify.

You may specify a name to be used instead of 'owner' in the job administration programs. For example 'Client' may be appropriate in some cases. See $title_owner.

You may specify a name to be used instead of 'jobtype' in the job administration programs. For example 'Category' may be appropriate in some cases. See $title_jobtype.

The number of digits in job instance numbers can be set with $job_digits.

The second category of system job properties includes defaults for any of the items listed below as user job properties. Items such as fax header line and CSID will override similar items which can be specified in the CopiaFacts configuration file. If you specify retry delay parameters in the System Job Properties, only those for outcome classes which appear in Owner or Jobtype properties are overridden.

It is unusual, but possible, to specify broadcast lists or job documents in system job properties. Any such items are added to the lists or documents specified in Owner or Jobtype properties.
