Archive Broadcast Job Files

JOBZIP [-nd] jobfile|jobid

This program archives all files associated with an individual job into a ZIP file. The output file name is the same as the given job instance file but with extension .ZIP.

An existing output ZIP file will be backed up with a .~ZIP extension (and any existing such backup deleted).  If this cannot be done, the archive operation will fail.

Unless the -nd command-line switch is used, the archived files are deleted after archiving, along with any WordMerge and temporary files associated with each FS file (which are not added to the ZIP).

The program normally returns a 0 exit code.  An exit code of 1 indicates that the ZIP operation failed; an exit code of 2 indicates that one or more files could not be deleted after the ZIP was successful.

If the parameter is given as a job ID number (and if Job ID is specified as being unique within the system) then the program searches for the Job ID. In this case the output file is placed in the ZIPS directory under the defined USERJOBS directory for the system.

The broadcast lists are NOT included in the ZIP. However the broadcast document IS included, provided that it has been faxed in and is in a directory containing '\TEMP\' in its pathname.

This program is normally invoked automatically by JOBCONS, but can also be run as an end-job-task, from JOBADMIN (right-click menu) or independently from a console session.  It returns a positive errorlevel on failure.

If you zip a large job, you will need to read/unpack the files created by JOBZIP with a utility which can handle this number of files.  Early releases of Winzip and several versions of the Microsoft zip-folder utility will only be able to see the first 65535 files in the ZIP.

Example:

JOBZIP @FFJOBS\Steve\NO_JTYPE\JOB00123.UJP

IF ERRORLEVEL 1 ...
