The following error codes may be returned after setting one of the database system variables. You should check DB_RESULT to determine the result of the database action. You may also wish to check the PFX%LAC_ERROR variable (where PFX% is your table/stored procedure identifier) for messages. The software will attempt to place provider or database error messages here. These messages may vary according to provider. You may examine the message to determine how to handle the error. Be aware that the software does not clear this variable and does not necessarily set it for every error since the error may not have any associated message. You should clear the variable yourself after examining it.

-21 Invalid stored procedure

-22 Bad stored procedure parameters

-23 OLE DB provider error

-24 ADO connection error

-25 No update fields

-26 No active resource found for specified ID

-27 Invalid resource ID specified

-28 No active resource entry for line

-29 No external storage file found

-30 Bad field definition for external storage

-31 File i/o error on external storage file

-32 External file storage had no data

-33 Insufficient memory for operation

-34 Active resource reset failed

When you are debugging a database application, be sure to enable IIF tracing on the fax server and also run FFTRACE with CF8DATABASE as an added application. The trace window may provide additional information on the error.

The following errors may result from database queries made for do-not-send and action look-ups:

 -2 database file not found

 -3 invalid database type

 -4 Topspeed DSN invalid

 -5 missing datasource name object

 -6 unable to build connection string

 -7 unable to finds tables for database
