Override the Operations Enabled for the Line

$user_op oplist

This command is used to restrict the operations to be performed in a particular application, by specifying only the operations which are allowed. The line used for this application, on which the user profile was assigned, must be physically capable of performing each specified operation, i.e., if the operation requires fax, a fax board must be attached to the line. Line operations specified in the $user_op operation list will therefore be ignored if they did not appear in the operation list configured in FAXCOUNT.HWL for that line in use. The operations can be set differently for different dates and times using $user_sched.

The parameters on this command are used as follows:

oplist The list of operations to be allowed. Use one or more of the following keywords, separated by the | character and with no embedded spaces:
onecall single-call operation in which images are delivered on same call as request (requires voice and fax). In earlier FaxFacts versions this was called inbound (which is still accepted as an alternate name on this command).
request accepts list of images and fax machine number from caller for later delivery (requires voice).
outbound search TOSEND files for files to transmit faxes requested earlier by caller or built up by system operator (requires fax).
pickup pick up fax mail while you are at the fax (requires voice and fax).
retrieve request fax mail to be sent to entered number (requires voice).
delivery deliver fax mail (requires fax).
receive receive fax mail (requires fax, and for some hardware also requires voice). If supported by the hardware, receive may be combined with another non-fax inbound call operation (such as request) and the system will automatically detect the incoming fax.
voiceout search TOSEND files for files to make voice outbound calls (requires voice).
pollout search TOSEND files for files to make outbound calls to collect incoming faxes (requires fax)
accept receive incoming faxes into special mailbox 0. If both receive and accept are active, accept is ignored. If supported by the hardware, accept may be combined with another non-fax inbound call operation (such as request) and the system will automatically detect the incoming fax.
email search TOSEND files for files to send e-mail
smssearch TOSEND files for files to send SMS
worker search TOSEND files for files to start maintenance operations (using $worker_box).

If you specify in the operation list a combination of operations which are impossible (for example both mail and fax-on-demand operations) then a warning will be displayed on the screen and some of the requested operations will be disabled. So if the line is configured with a large number of possible operations which cannot all be performed at once, a $user_op command is always required to select a consistent set of options.

If there are no valid operations left, CopiaFacts will report an error and will use the default profile for the line instead of the specified profile.

Default: all operations defined for the line are enabled

Messages Played: When this command is enabled with only onecall specified, standard voice prompt 27 states that the call must be placed from your fax machine. When both onecall and request are specified, prompt 18 asks if the caller is at a fax machine. When request is specified prompts 19 to 23 request fax phone and routing information.

Positional Requirements: Must precede the $user_sched command.

Example:

Application will use one-call, outbound, and request:

$user_op onecall|outbound|request
