Specify individual fax page retry
This command specifies the number of times that an individual fax page is to be retried. This feature is only available if supported by the fax board, and the retry only takes place if the receiving fax machine is able to respond with an RTN (retrain negative) command when the quality of a received page falls below a preset limit.
Unlike the other retry options, this retry operation can be performed on one-call transmissions as well as on normal outbound fax transmissions.
The parameters on this command are used as follows:
|line||the line number or line group(s) affected, or * for all lines.|
|count||a number from 0 to 3 to indicate the number of retries required.|
|option||a yes/no code to control abandoning the transmission when the limit is reached:|
|Y||abandon the transmission if the specified retries are all unsuccessful|
|N||continue with the next page if the specified retries are all unsuccessful|
Hardware Issues: Dialogic Fax (VFX/40) only
Default: No page retries
$retry_page * 2 Y ; try RTN pages twice, abandon on failure
