Specify Directory for Fax Mail Boxes

$post_office dirname

This command defines the directory used to store mail boxes (.MBX definition files).

It is recommended that this command should not be used for new installs, and that the default folder be used instead.

The parameter on this command is used as follows:

dirname the directory in which all MBX files are located. Note that system variables other than FFBASE are not expanded in this parameter.

Take great care when adding, deleting or changing this command on a live system.  The system should be shut down at the time of the change, and while the MAIL folder tree is being moved to its new location.

Note that CopiaFacts assumes that you will be using a common mail folder across all nodes.  If you use this command with a local foldername (for example C:\MAIL) and your mailboxes reference a common folder or folders for incoming mail, then it is your responsibility to ensure that the NEXTMCF file (which resides in this folder) is initialized and maintained in a way which ensures that a unique number is always used across nodes for MCF (and incoming TIF) files.  For example you could initialize the NEXTMCF files with numbers 20000000 apart (but each would still wrap at 99999999).

The FFPO system variable expands to the name of this folder.

Default: the MAIL folder in the CopiaFacts Application Data folder.

Example:

$post_office \\FFSERVER\COPIA\faxfacts\maildir
