Set Locking Parameters for Network Use

$lock_tries retries

This command is used to override the default number of locking attempts on the transaction log file and other common files before writing to the file is considered to have failed.

The parameter on this command is used as follows:

retries the number of locking attempts (default 20). You may need to increase this number if you experience a number of locking errors on a busy network.

Locking errors on the log file will be displayed on the status screen as logging errors.

Default: 20 (but until engine version 7.224, the default value was 5)
