Ask the Caller to Supply a Voice Telephone Number

$caller_phone min max

This command turns on the option to request the caller's voice telephone number. It is logged in the transaction file so that you may perform follow-up calls to your clients. This feature can also be used to request numeric information about the call or caller, other than the telephone number.

The parameters on this command are used as follows:

min the minimum number of digits to be entered for the telephone number. Use a value of zero if you wish the caller to be able to ignore the request.
max the maximum number of digits to be entered for the telephone number.

For a callback request, CopiaFacts uses this command to create a $fax_callerid command in the FS file created for the callback (unless an override filename value has been assigned to the CALLERPN system variable during the request).

Default: none (optional feature)

Messages Played: When this command is enabled, standard voice prompt 8 asks for the caller's voice number and standard voice prompt 13 will verify the phone number.

Examples:

$caller_phone 10 14 ; require at least 10 digits

$caller_phone 0 14 ; allow this entry to be skipped
