Web Fax
FaxFacts does not currently ship with a web-browser
based client for sending faxes. Some of our customers, however,
wished to have a interface to their FaxFacts system that they could
get at anywhere in the world. Due to the open architecture of the
CopiaFacts engine, making a custom web based interface to send faxes
was a breeze for one of them.
Boomerang Example
Several of our systems use custom interfaces to send faxes. This
version of "Web Fax" is an example that was developed
by Boomerang Information Services, a Copia reseller
and service bureau. This Web Fax is a simple interface to the Boomerang
FaxFacts system over the World Wide Web (WWW).
This version of a "fax from website application"
allows users that visit a companies website to simply click on the
document they want. The page also gathers important information
such as the recipient and fax number.

This example could be used on your own company
website to allow clients to have documents faxed to them straight
over the Internet. All of this is possible with the standard
FaxFacts server product and a little programming. |
